A few crafts for Young Womens

In my ward I'm the Mia Maids advisor. For New beginnings were making the girls a block that says We Believe on it.  It is so easy to make and I think it turned out so cute.

First I cut a 2 x 8 and cut it to 5 inches. I sanded all of the edges. I painted my block black and distressed the edges. Then I picked out a cute scrapbook paper, added some ink around the edges and mod podged it to the wood. To do this mod podge the wood first, then lay your paper on top and smooth over top. Let dry 5 minutes then add a layer of Mod podge to the top of your paper, making sure to smooth out any bubbles. Let dry then add one more coat. I added Mod Podge to the entire block so it would be shiny.  Next I picked out a cute font on my vinyl cutter and sized it a bit smaller than my board. I applied the lettering then added some tulle and ribbon.  So easy but so cute!

Our next activity we're helping the girls make a craft.
I decided to make a cute Valentine craft. This one was so easy. I did the same techniques as the first craft but didn't need vinyl since the wording on the paper was so cute. I painted it brown instead of black and I added a few diamonds to the front and that's it!    This cute craft would cost you less that $2.00   Now that's sweet!

I love that paper! We decorated blocks with the young women last month and they loved it. Thanks for sharing!
