Endless possibilities with old windows

I adore old windows. So much that I have 5 repurposed ones in my home. Here are some examples I've done~
This one I made into a chalkboard/calender. I LOVE it! My kids LOVE it! I just added vinyl for the calender and taped it off and spray painted chalk paint for the chalkboard. I added a piece of trim to separate the two.

This window I made into a side table. I used it for a display for awhile in my boutique! We just took old spindles for the legs and supports, and added trim to the window. So fun!

I added vinyl lettering and berries to the old window. I also distressed the wood a bit to give it that look. This is hanging by my front door. Love!

This is an old window/door that I made into our menu board. It's super fun and helps me keep track of the meals for the week!

I've also made the windows into picture frames, memo boards, wreath holders and so much more! What would you do with an old window?

Thrifty Thursday~ and giveaway~

I love making my kids valentines every year. They love giving something unique to their friends too. THere are so many possibilities using them in the pictures. Walgreens always has good sales on 4 x 6's so it makes them super cheap!

Here are my kids from last year~

I got their candy from the dollar store :)

The year before we did ones with suckers~

Super cute and easy! I can't wait to do this years! (which reminds me I need to get going on them).

I'd like to offer to photoshop 10 families pictures for valentines using an idea from above. The first 10 to comment will get them. You'll just need to leave your email and I'll email you details :) And I'd love for you to become a follower :)

We love Printable Wednesday!

My guest blogger got sick so that's why there wasn't a post yesterday :(

I thought for today I'd share a few Valentine printables!

First I thought this one from todays mama is super sweet! Plus is could be left up in your bedroom all year round!

Next this printable from todays fabulous finds is super cute! I love the way she framed it! She has lots of color choices too!

I love the subway printable from little birdie secrets, the way she framed it is adorable too! I love the banner going across it.

I am a sucker for chalkboard prints! The ones from nest of posies are super cute!

Make it Monday~

I love making my own jewelry. A few months ago I taught how to make Bird nest necklaces for Super saturday. The women and some of the YW loved making them. I made tons for Christmas gifts for my girls to give out too. Here is a great tutorial on how to make them from Sarah Ortega.

For Girls camp this year we did lots of jewelry. The girls loved stamping their own jewelry. If you live by a Harbor Freight their stamps are the best price I've found. I bought most of my supplies off Etsy. So much cheaper that way. Here are some fun ideas~

One more cute idea for DIY jewelry. We made earrings out of lace. I found that the lace on a bolt from hobby lobby worked really well and was super good priced. fleur d elise design has a great tutorial~

Thrifty Thursday

I am addicted to making old furniture look amazing again. I get so excited when I find an old piece of furniture that nobody wants (because they don't see the potential) and transform it into a beautiful piece! I joined a group on facebook called Reclaim-ologist and other crafty chicks and all of us refinish furniture. So many amazing ladies on there that are so talented! Check us out!
So before throwing out an old piece of furniture to buy a new one, take it and make it beautiful again!
Here are a few transformations I've done ~

We love printable Wednesday!

I am addicted to free printables. I can't believe all the talent out there. I also love making printables. My Young Womens class will attest to that! I have a big magnet board above my computer and I always have it full of handouts, printables and pictures.

Today I looked high and low (pinterest) and found this super cool blog called U Printables with so many cute printables. Score! I thought I'd share a few of my faves! Be sure to check out her blog!

Super cute cameras!

Check out Camera printable for the cute download!
