If you're like me you love notebooks. I love them for thoughts, lists, journals, and misc. But who wants to use the plain composition books? No fun right, so just alter them yourself and make it your own!
All you need is a
composition book or notebook,
mod podge,
scrapbook paper
scissors
a pencil
and embellishments.
I always use 2 coordinating papers. I use the first 12 x 12 paper to cover the back and wrap around the front. I trace the outline of the book on the paper so I know where to cut. Then I mod podge this piece on. Then I take my 2nd piece and measure how much I need and then cut it. I often tear the edge to give it a distressed look. I then mod podge this piece on. Then I add ribbon, buttons, diamonds or whatever I feel like. I also love to add lettering. I don't mod podge over the top of mine but you could. I have taught this to the young women in our ward and done it for a Super Saturday. It ended up costing a dollar a book. Not bad for something so cute~
